The Importance of A Sober Living House

It doesn’t matter how motivated a person is, destructive living environments are often the single most common reason for addicts to start using again. Being able to live a sober life is challenging, but it is all part of the healing process and there are proven methods for success.

Sober Living Houses

Once the detox phase has been completed, it is time to start thinking about how to live a sober life. Going back to your regular home might not be the best idea. In fact, if your regular home is considered a destructive living environment, then it might be the single worst place for you to go. That’s where a sober living house fits perfectly into the recovery picture.

What Should You Expect?

Sober living houses vary, but they have one common goal in mind. That goal is providing you with a place to live free from your old destructive lifestyles. This is your chance to heal and continue living a sober lifestyle.

Social Factors

We are still discovering how social factors affect an individual’s outcome towards recovery. It has been proven that alcoholics who spend more time with a larger number of people who do not drink have a better chance of recovery. This chance of recovery extends for years if the right social networks are kept and maintained.

The Importance of Fellowship

At Homes of Promise you will never be alone. There are other guests living in the house with you. They are facing the same problems you are facing and it helps to have someone to talk to at any given time.

There is a reasonable set of rules that encourage responsibility, structure and accountability. Our staff is passionate, caring and highly professional. Our homes provide you with a safe haven where you can enjoy living a sober lifestyle. They are the perfect place to call home.
